Providence Tool Company model 1867 Peabody in very good condition. 3/5 Bore (great condition except for a small spot of heavy pitting in the center of the bore and a small spot of mild pitting near the muzzle). 4/5 Stock.
On the left side of the stock, there are several heavy pressure marks at the rear of the butt, above the rear sling mount. Heavy gouge at the wrist. On the underside of the stock there is heavy gouging near the sling mount. On the right side of the forend there is a heavy pressure mark about halfway between the barrel bands and a heavy pressure mark behind the front barrel band. On the left side of the forend there are mild pressure marks between the barrel bands.
All bluing is either heavily worn, approaching white, or in the white. Receiver retains very little case coloring. Receiver has light pitting throughout. Mild pitting on the operating lever. Spots of mild pitting where the barrel meets the forend. Light pitting on the barrel bands.
