Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1942, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 2/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Diopter sights installed.
Furniture has been previously sanded and refinished with a gloss coat. On the right side of the stock, there is a large chip at the heel that had been glued back onto the stock. Long pressure marks along the butt. Scratches and multiple light and mild pressure marks along the grip. Large, mild pressure mark and scratch on the forearm just below the woodline before the rear barrel band. Mild pressure mark before the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a large, round knot in the wood at the heel and light handling wear along the butt. Light gouge below the forward end of the comb. On the underside of the stock there are light pressure marks along the butt. Light pressure marks and a light gouge near the rear barrel band. The handguard has multiple light pressure marks along the top side.
Bluing has been refurbished. Receiver finish is lightly worn. Both barrel bands have been refurbished with black paint or some other coating that has flaked off in some areas. Exposed barrel has light to mild finish wear. Magazine plate and trigger guard has also been refurbished in the same manner as the barrel bands. This coating has flaked off on the trigger guard. Magazine has light finish wear and light patina on the base.
W+F Bern K-Type diopter sights are installed. Rear diopter has six selectable apertures.
Receiver is P stamped. 55 stamped on the tang, indicating armory refurbishment in 1955.
Includes leather sling.
