Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1943, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers. Includes bayonet.
On the right side of the stock, there are heavy gouges at the rear of the butt. Light gouges and mild pressure marks at the forward end of the butt, before the grip. Light gouging and one heavy gouge behind the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark at the forward end of the butt, rear of the grip. Light gouging before the finger groove, near the magazine. Light gouge in front of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a mild gouge at the butt and light gouging on the pistol grip. Long, heavy pressure mark on the grip. Heavy pressure marks along the comb. Small 1/4" crack at the heel. Handguard has a light gouge and heavy pressure marks throughout.
Receiver has light finish wear at the rear and light edge wear throughout. Both barrel bands have light scratches and light surface marks throughout. Light pitting on the magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine.
P stamped. 57 stamped on the tang, indicating armory refurbishment in 1957.
Includes matching serial number model 1918 bayonet, manufactured by Elsener Schwyz Victoria, with scabbard. Blade is in excellent condition. Pommel and guard were polished. Light surface marks throughout the pommel and guard. Scabbard finish is lightly worn and has light pitting throughout. This bayonet would have been issued as a replacement to the original bayonet as Elsener Schwyz-produced bayonets did not have the additional "Victoria" added to the name until after 1950.
