Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1939, in very good condition with 93% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers, except for the barrel. Includes bayonet.
The barrel was replaced, likely during armory refurbishment, and is non-serialized.
On the right side of the stock, there is a heavy gouge at the base of the grip. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt next to the sling mount. Mild pressure mark halfway between the barrel bands. Small, heavy gouge at the center of the comb. Handguard has a heavy gouge on the right side near the ferrule. Large, light pressure marks around the rear barrel band.
Receiver finish is lightly worn. Rear barrel band has lightly worn finish and light pitting throughout. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish. Magazine plate and trigger guard have light finish wear and light pitting.
P stamped. 55 stamped on the tang, indicating armory refurbishment in 1955.
Soldier's tag found under the butt plate.
Includes matching serial number model 1918 bayonet, manufactured by Elsener Schwyz, with scabbard and leather frog. Blade has light pitting throughout and multiple marks along the edge. Scabbard has light finish wear and light pitting throughout. Leather frog was made by J. Scherrer of Sachseln (canton Obwalden) in 1942.
Includes leather sling.
