Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1948, in very good condition with 90% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling, light yellow tint in bore). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Diopter sights are installed
On the right side of the stock, there are heavy pressure marks and light gouging around the butt. Light pressure marks on the grip. Several pressure marks on and around the finger groove, including a cross-hatch pattern on the bottom edge as if caused by a table vise or other clamp. Light gouge in front of the rear barrel band and a mild scratch running between the stock and handguard. On the left side of the stock, there is light handling wear throughout the butt and light pressure marks along the grip. Small, light gouge before the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there is a heavy pressure mark and light gouge at the butt. Long gouge at the forward area of the magazine plate. Multiple small marks between the magazine plate and the rear barrel band. The comb of the stock has a series of light gouges and there is heavy scratching around the receiver tang. Handguard has light handling wear. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band.
All bluing had been previously refurbished. Receiver finish is very lightly worn and there is very light edge wear around the loading slot. Light surface scratches and light patina around the rear barrel band. Light edge wear and light surface scratches around the front barrel band. Little evident wear on the magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine.
Receiver is P stamped. 50 stamped on the tang, indicating armory refurbishment in 1950.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
W+F Bern K-Type diopter sights are installed. Rear diopter has six selectable apertures.
