Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1945, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (bright bore, sharp rifling, but very light pitting in the grooves at the muzzle). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Diopter sights are installed.
On the right side of the stock, there are mild to heavy pressure marks throughout, from the butt to the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there is light handling wear around the butt and discoloration at the butt from wear. Light marks on the forward end of the butt to the grip. Multiple light and mild pressure marks between the grip and the finger groove. There is a scrape on the left edge of the finger groove and a vertical light gouge to the left of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock, there are light and mild pressure marks throughout. Light gouging on the edge next to the magazine plate, near the magazine catch. Small gouge next to the rear barrel band spring. The comb of the stock has light pressure marks and a few light gouges. The handguard has light pressure marks throughout. Light gouging next to the handguard ferrule.
Receiver bluing is solid in color. Light surface scratches at the rear of the receiver. Light edge wear around the loading slot. Heavy finish wear on the barrel step. Rear barrel band has heavy finish wear on the right side. Light to mild finish wear on the front barrel band. Magazine plate has light surface marks near the front screw. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Light edge wear around the magazine.
Receiver is P stamped. 53 stamped on the tang, indicating armory refurbishment in 1953.
W+F Bern diopter sights installed. Rear sight has six selectable apertures.
