Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1941, in good condition with 85% finish. 3/5 Bore (mildly worn rifling, light to mild pitting). 1/5 Stock. Furniture non-matching serial numbers. Magazine non-matching serial number (non-serialized replacement).
Stock has unrepaired cracks on the left side; a crack behind the rear sling mount, and a 1.5" crack on the wrist from the receiver tang.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt below the comb. On the underside of the stock there are fair pressure marks on the butt near the toe. Mild gouging on the pistol grip. Large, shallow pressure mark on the comb. Handguard has a mild pressure mark at the woodline on the right side, in front of the ferrule.
Receiver has lightly worn finish. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish. Trigger guard has light edge wear, light patina, and light pitting.
No P stamp noted.
Soldier's tag found behind the butt plate.
