Swiss W+F Bern K31 Carbine, produced in 1943, in good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 1/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers except for the bolt (bolt sleeve is non-serialized replacement). Includes matching bayonet.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished.
Stock has an unrepaired 3" crack in front of the bolt release lever.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt. On the left side of the stock there is a light gouge on the butt above the sling mount. Light gouge and mild pressure mark on the wrist. Light gouge before the rear barrel band. Heavy pressure mark before the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a mild gouge halfway near the barrel bands and a heavy pressure mark near the front barrel band. Light gouge on the butt at the heel. Heavy gouge on the top of the wrist. Handguard has a light gouge before both the rear and front barrel bands.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light patina. Rear barrel band has lightly worn finish and light patina. Front barrel band has mildly worn finish and light patina. Trigger guard has light edge wear.
P stamped.
54 stamped on the receiver tang, indicating armory refurbishment in 1954.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
Matching serial number 1918 bayonet, manufactured by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen, includes scabbard and leather frog.
Blade has light pitting. Right side grip has heavy pressure marks and light gouging. Pommel has heavy surface marks.
Scabbard has lightly worn finish. Leather frog was made by J. Tanner of St. Margrethen (St. Gallen) in 1950.
