Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1947, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished.
Stock has areas of heavy handling wear and heavily worn finish.
On the right side of the stock the letters "HA" are found scratched into the butt near the heel. Light gouging below the comb and at the forward end of the butt. Light gouging in front of the finger groove. Light gouging before the rear barrel band. Light gouge halfway between the barrel bands. On the left side of the stock there is a 1/2" crack on the rear edge of the rear sling mount. Light gouging on the wrist and forward of the wrist. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges along the butt. Light gouging before the rear barrel band. Light gouging along the comb. Handguard has light gouging at the rear and light gouging between the barrel bands.
Receiver has lightly worn finish. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish and light surface marks. Trigger guard has light edge wear.
Receiver tang is stamped with "ZH" indicating armory refurbishment at the Zurich armory.
P stamped.
Soldier's tag found behind the butt plate.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
