Product Description
Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1944, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling, light pitting). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
The bolt sleeve was replaced and has a matching electropenciled serial number. This is common with K31 Carbines produced in 1943 and 1944 as the bolt sleeve was made of chromium-molybdenum steel due to material shortages and later replaced with chrome nickel steel. Light pitting throughout the bolt.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished.
On the right side of the stock there is a small gouge halfway between the barrel bands. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a light gouge on the edge of the magazine plate, near the magazine catch.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light pitting. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish and light surface marks. Magazine plate has heavily worn finish around the rear screw. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light pitting. Magazine has heavily worn finish.
