W+F Bern Swiss K31 Carbine - sn 593xxx
Swiss W+F Bern K31 Carbine, produced in 1939, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
On the right side of the stock, there are numerous pressure marks and light gouging at the rear of the butt. Rash below the finger groove and pressure marks forward of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges at the rear of the butt. Light gouging on the rear of the wrist. Heavy pressure marks forward of the wrist. Heavy pressure mark before the rear barrel band and a heavy gouge in front of the rear barrel band, between the stock and handguard. Heavy gouge before the front barrel band. Remnants of a red competition inspection sticker halfway between the barrel bands, between the stock and handguard. On the underside of the stock there is light gouging on the butt. Light gouging along the comb. Handguard has light gouging between the ferrule and rear barrel band.
Receiver has lightly worn finish. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish and light patina. Front barrel band has heavily worn finish. Trigger guard has light edge wear.

55 stamped on the receiver tang, indicating armory refurbishment in 1955.
Soldier’s tag found behind the butt plate.
