Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1949, in very good condition with 85% finish. 3/5 Bore (worn with light pitting). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture has areas of fair to moderate finish wear.
On the right side of the stock, there are light pressure marks around the butt and finish wear along the comb, butt, underside, and on the grip. Light pressure marks below the bolt release lever. There is a black substance of unknown origin covering a sizeable area below the finger groove and continuing to the underside. On the left side of the stock, there is finish wear at the butt and the pistol grip. Light and mild pressure marks at the forward end of the butt and along the grip. Fair to moderate pressure marks between the grip and the finger groove, and some of the previously mentioned black substance is below the finger groove. Mild gouge below the woodline to the left of the finger groove. Multiple mild pressure marks near the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there is a large foil sticker for a Swiss/German insurance company. Long scratch on the forearm in front of the rear barrel band spring. There are a few light gouges on the comb of the stock. The handguard has a partially removed sticker on the top side next to the ferrule. Heavy pressure mark on the top side of the handguard before the rear barrel band. Multiple pressure marks between the two barrel bands and a mild gouge on the top side.
Receiver finish is lightly worn overall, with slightly heavier finish wear toward the forward end of the receiver. Both barrel bands have light finish wear and tool marks. Magazine plate has a very small, light mark in the finish next to the magazine catch. Light edge wear on the trigger guard.
Receiver is P stamped.
