Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1939, in very good condition with 85% original finish. 4/5 bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Furniture was likely sanded at some point as the Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock is very shallow.
On the right side of the stock, there are some moderate pressure marks around the middle of the butt, and light pressure marks and a few light gouges throughout the rest of the butt. Light pressure marks from the grip to the end of the finger groove. There are a couple of light gouges below the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there is mild finish wear at the butt, several pressure marks, and a few minor gouges around the butt. There are a few light gouges on the pistol grip and light pressure marks along the grip. Light gouge on the right edge of the finger groove and a light gouge forward of the finger groove. Heavy wear and some chipping at the forward edge of the stock, in front of the barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there are light to mild pressure marks from the toe to the pistol grip. Before the rear barrel band there is a grouping of mild to fair pressure marks, and to the left of the rear barrel band spring are a pair of heavy pressure marks. Handguard has a small gouge on the top side in front of the ferrule, but otherwise only has light pressure marks throughout.
Receiver bluing is very solid. Light edge wear around the loading slot. Rear barrel band has light patina and fair finish wear. Fair to moderate finish wear on the front barrel band. Mild finish wear on the magazine plate, with a scratch in the finish next to the magazine catch. Mild edge wear and light finish wear on the trigger guard. Light edge wear and mild finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
