Swiss K31 Carbine, produced in 1938, in very good condition with 90% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock, there are light pressure marks throughout the butt, with some mild pressure marks above the pistol grip. Scuffs and light to mild pressure marks around the finger groove, with light and mild pressure marks continuing along the forearm to the forward end. On the left side of the stock, there is moderate handling wear at the end of the butt, with multiple light pressure marks and a few light gouges. Moderate to heavy pressure marks on the grip. There is a heavy pressure mark on the forearm between the front and rear barrel bands. On the underside of the stock, there are mild pressure marks around the butt, with a heavy gouge at the midpoint of the butt. Light handling wear on the forearm in front of the magazine plate. In front of the rear barrel band spring there is a mild pressure mark. Light handling wear throughout the comb of the stock. Handguard has mild pressure marks throughout, particularly between the ferrule and rear barrel band.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear. Mild to fair finish wear on the left side of the receiver at the rear. Light edge wear around the loading slot and the forward edge at the barrel step. Rear barrel band has light edge wear and light patina on the top side. Front barrel band has light finish wear. Light finish wear on the exposed barrel. Long mark in the bluing on the magazine plate next to the magazine catch. Mild edge wear and light finish wear on the trigger guard. Mild to fair finish wear and patina on the magazine.
Receiver is P stamped.
Soldier's tag found under butt plate.
