Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1916, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers. Includes bayonet.
On the right side of the stock, there is a heavy gouge on the butt between the toe and the rear sling mount. Light gouging in front of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a small, mild gouge before the finger groove, near the magazine. Large scrape behind the rear barrel band. Heavy gouging behind the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark at the grip. Light gouging forward of the magazine plate. On the heel of the stock there is one light and one heavy gouge. Heavy gouge at the receiver tang. Handguard has light gouging on the left side along the woodline and a light gouge on the right side in front of the ferrule. Light gouge and mild pressure marks on the rear half of the handguard. Mild to heavy pressure marks between the barrel bands.
Receiver finish is mildly worn at the rear. Light to mild finish wear and light patina over the chamber. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish. Light finish wear and mild patina on the magazine plate and trigger guard.
P stamped on the barrel.
Includes matching serial number model 1899 bayonet, manufactured by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen, with scabbard. Blade is in excellent condition. Both wood grip panels have small, heavy pressure marks. Light pitting on the pommel. Scabbard has light to mild finish wear and surface marks throughout.
