Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1916, in very good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Magazine is a non-serialized replacement.
Magazine catch does not seem to fully engage, but the magazine also seems to be tightly friction fit.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there are mild pressure marks on the pistol grip and wrist. Light gouging between the bolt release lever and the finger groove. Heavy gouge between the barrel bands. On the left side of the stock there are scattered light gouges throughout the butt. Light to mild pressure marks between the wrist and finger groove. Heavy gouge before the rear barrel band, extending slightly onto the handguard. Heavy gouging between the barrel bands. On the underside of the stock, there is a mild pressure mark on the right side of the magazine plate.
Receiver finish is lightly worn and has light patina throughout. Light pitting over the chamber. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish and heavy patina. Front barrel band has heavy patina. Heavy finish wear on the front sight base and around the muzzle. Magazine plate and trigger guard has mild patina and light pitting. Magazine finish is heavily worn.
P62 stamped, indicating privatization in 1962. WF26 stamped, indicating refurbishment by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1926.
