Swiss W+F Bern 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1912, in Very Good condition with 90% finish. 4/5 Bore (light pitting at the start of the rifling). 4/5 Stock. Non-matching serial numbers: stock (s/n 412896), handguard (s/n 375613), bolt (s/n 184850).
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock there is a mild gouge on the butt near the rear of the comb. Mild pressure mark on the pistol grip. Heavy gouging before the finger groove. Heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges and mild pressure marks at the rear of the butt, heavy pressure mark and mild gouge at the forward end of the butt. Light gouging on the wrist. Heavy pressure mark on the lower edge of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges on the butt at the toe and light gouges in front of the magazine plate. On the top of the stock there are mild pressure marks at the rear of the comb and a heavy gouge at the receiver tang. Handguard has light gouging in front of the rear barrel band.
Bluing was previously refurbished.
Receiver has light edge wear and light surface marks. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish.
Receiver is P56 stamped, indicating privatization in 1956.
·21 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1921.
