Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1912, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
One of 15,000 total produced (one of 6,000 in 1912) with a faster 230mm twist barrel (1:9.05") before switching back to 270mm (1:10.63") later in 1913. These rifles were issued to recruits.
Handguard has an unrepaired 1.5" crack in front of the rear barrel band on the left side.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges throughout the butt. Mild pressure marks on the wrist. Mild pressure marks below the bolt release lever, and between the bolt release lever and the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges throughout the butt. Heavy pressure marks on the pistol grip and wrist. Light gouging on the wrist. On the underside of the stock there are heavy gouges on the butt behind the pistol grip. Heavy pressure mark on the comb. Handguard has a mild gouge before the front barrel band.
Receiver has mild to heavy finish wear. Rear barrel band has light edge wear. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish. Heavy finish wear around the muzzle. Magazine plate has mildly worn finish. Trigger guard has mildly worn finish and light surface marks. Magazine base has heavily worn finish.
