Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1913, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
One of 15,000 total produced (one of 9,000 in 1913) with a faster 230mm twist barrel (1:9.05") before switching back to 270mm (1:10.63") later in 1913. These rifles were issued to recruits.
Received with red tape wrapped around the handguard.
On the left side of the stock, there are heavy pressure marks around the finger groove. Light gouge before and in front of the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges on the pistol grip. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark and light gouging between the ferrule and rear barrel band.
Receiver has light to mild edge wear throughout. Spots of light pitting on the right side. Both barrel bands have light edge wear and light tool marks. Trigger guard has light edge wear and light surface marks.
Receiver is P63 stamped, indicating privatization in 1963. L26 and 30 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in both 1926 and 1930.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
