Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, among the first produced in the first year of production in 1912, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. all matching serial numbers.
One of 15,000 total 1911 Infantry Rifles produced with a 230mm twist barrel, before switching production back to a 270mm twist barrel. These rifles were first issued to recruits.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished.
On the right side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark above the magazine. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges between the finger groove and rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there is a heavy gouge between the magazine plate and rear barrel band. Light gouge on the comb, near the heel. Handguard has a repaired crack between the barrel bands.
Receiver finish is lightly worn and has light patina throughout. Both barrel bands have light finish wear and light patina. Light finish wear and mild surface marks on the trigger guard.
Receiver is P stamped. ·18 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1918.
Includes leather sling.
