Swiss 1911 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1912, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
One of 15,000 total produced (one of 6,000 in 1912) with a faster 230mm twist barrel (1:9.05") before switching back to 270mm (1:10.63") later in 1913. These rifles were issued to recruits.
On the right side of the stock, there are several long scratches at the butt. Small, deep gouge at the rear of the grip. Mild gouge in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there are mild pressure marks at the butt near the comb. Multiple heavy pressure marks between the grip and the finger groove. Heavy pressure marks around the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there are mild pressure marks in front of the magazine plate. Handguard has a long, mild pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver finish is lightly worn. Light edge wear throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have light tool marks around the screws and light surface scratches on the top side. Light scratches on the magazine plate and trigger guard. Light edge wear on the trigger guard.
No P stamp noted. ·22 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1922.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
