Swiss 1911 Infantry rifle, produced in 1913, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly dull bore). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
One of 15,000 total produced (one of 9,000 in 1913) with a faster 230mm twist barrel (1:9.05") before switching back to 270mm (1:10.63") later in 1913. These rifles were issued to recruits.
On the right side of the stock, there are light gouges on the grip. Mild pressure marks between the finger groove and rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there are light gouges throughout the butt. Mild pressure marks on and around the grip. Light gouge forward of the grip, above the trigger guard. Mild gouging around the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges in front of the magazine plate. Light gouging on the comb. Handguard has light gouges between the ferrule and rear barrel band, and mild pressure marks throughout.
Receiver finish is lightly worn. Light patina throughout the receiver. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish. Front barrel band has mildly worn finish. Magazine plate and trigger guard have mildly worn finish and mild patina. Heavy surface marks on the base of the magazine.
Receiver is P stamped. ·25 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1925.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
