Swiss W+F Bern model 1897 Cadet Rifle, produced in 1901, in very good condition with 80% finish. 3/5 Bore (mildly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Bolt knobs are armory replacements.
On the right side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark around the center of the butt. Light gouging in front of the bolt release lever. Light gouging before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges near the forward end of the comb. Light gouging on the forearm below the rear sight. On the underside of the stock there are mild pressure marks in front of the trigger guard and light gouging between the barrel bands. Handguard has a mild pressure mark near the ferrule and heavy pressure marks halfway between the barrel bands.
Receiver has heavily worn finish and mild patina. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish and light patina. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish.
P stamped receiver.
