Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1902, in very good condition with 90% finish. 4/5 Bore (small area of heavy pitting on the outside of the crown). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers. Includes matching bayonet.
Bolt knobs appear to have been refurbished.
On the right side of the stock there is a circular insert on the butt. On the left side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks around the center of the butt. Light gouge before the finger groove.
Receiver has lightly worn finish. Light scratches on the rear of the receiver. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light surface marks. Rectangular insert before the front barrel band.
P63 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1963.
·9 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1909.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
Matching serial number 1899 bayonet, manufactured by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen, includes scabbard and leather frog.
Blade has light pitting. Pommel has mild pitting.
Scabbard has heavily worn finish. Leather frog was made by B. Luth of Basel in 1936.
