Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1900, in very good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 2/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there is a long, mild pressure mark at the rear of the butt. Light gouges and mild to heavy pressure marks throughout the butt. Light gouging in front of the finger groove. Light to mild gouging in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges throughout the butt and a mild gouge toward the forward end of the butt. Light gouging along the woodline by the receiver. Mild gouging and a heavy pressure mark between the finger groove and rear barrel band. Light gouge in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges on the pistol grip. Light gouging along the comb. 1/4" crack at the receiver tang. Handguard has light gouging near the ferrule. Heavy gouge about halfway between the barrel bands. Unrepaired 2" crack on the handguard about halfway between the barrel bands.
Receiver finish is heavily worn. Top of the chamber is in the white and has light to mild patina. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish and light edge wear. Barrel has heavily worn finish. Trigger guard has several surface marks. Bluing on the magazine plate and trigger guard was previously refurbished.
P stamped. ·9 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1909.

Includes matching serial number model 1899 bayonet, manufactured by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen, with scabbard and leather frog.
Guard and pommel has light surface marks as well as signs of polishing with a heavy abrasive. Scabbard has lightly worn finish and light surface marks throughout.
Sattler stamp on leather frog is illegible.
