Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1911, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked. Upper bolt knob is also chipped.
On the right side of the stock, there are light gouges at the rear of the butt. Light gouging before the finger groove, above the magazine. On the left side of the stock there is a light gouge on the butt at the toe. Scratch in front of the finger groove, extending onto the handguard. On the underside of the stock, there is a light gouge at the toe and a heavy gouge on the wrist. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark about halfway between the ferrule and rear barrel band.
Receiver has light edge wear. Mild surface mark over the serial number. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish and mild patina. front barrel band has mildly work finish. Stacking lug has heavily worn finish. Magazine plate has mild finish wear. Trigger guard is in the white. Magazine base has areas of heavy finish wear.
Receiver is P55 stamped, indicating privatization in 1955.
