Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1910, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Furniture, bolt, and magazine matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is cracked. Previous replacement with non-matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock there is a light gouge at the forward end of the butt. Light gouging on the wrist. Light gouge above the magazine well. Light gouge above the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges forward of the wrist. Light gouge over the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there are three small gouges on the pistol grip. Heavy gouge next to the magazine catch. Bernese bear stamped on the rear of the comb. Handguard has a repaired crack in front of the rear barrel band.
All bluing was previously refurbished. Receiver was tapped for a scope mount.
Receiver has light edge wear around the loading slot. Heavy gouge on the right side of the receiver. Light tool marks around the barrel band screws.
Receiver is P stamped.
