Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1908, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling, light pitting in the grooves). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there are light gouges between the finger groove and rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there is a heavy pressure mark and mild gouging on the grip. Mild pressure marks forward of the grip. Three small, heavy pressure marks behind the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there are mild to heavy pressure marks in front of the magazine plate. Light gouging at the toe. Heavy gouge at the receiver tang. Handguard has a couple of light to mild gouges near the ferrule.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear. Multiple surface marks throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have mild to heavy finish wear. Magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine have mild to heavy finish wear.
Receiver is P55 stamped, indicating privatization in 1955. ·10 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1910.
Includes leather sling.
