Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1908, in very good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
On the right side of the stock, there are mild pressure marks on the grip. Heavy pressure mark on the bottom edge of the finger groove. Heavy gouge behind the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are multiple light gouges between the grip and the finger groove. On the underside of the stock, there is a light gouge in front of the rear sling mount and a light gouge in front of the magazine plate. Handguard has thin, heavy gouges behind the front barrel band.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear. Multiple light surface marks throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have mild finish wear. Mild finish wear on the magazine plate. Heavy surface marks and mild to heavy finish wear on the trigger guard.
Receiver is P61 stamped, indicating privatization in 1961.
Includes leather sling.
