Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1907, in very good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is cracked. Lower bolt knob is chipped.
Stock has tiger striping.
On the right side of the stock there are scratches and mild pressure marks at the rear of the butt. Heavy pressure marks in front of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges throughout the butt. Heavy gouging forward of the wrist, above the trigger guard. On the underside of the stock, there are light gouges on the wrist and a heavy gouge next to the magazine catch. Heavy gouge on the comb. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark behind the rear barrel band..
Receiver has heavily worn finish on the left side. Light surface marks throughout the receiver. Deep scratches on the right side of the receiver. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish; bluing loss looks like it was caused by some sort of chemical that stripped the bluing. Trigger guard has mild edge wear, light scratches, and a pair of heavy surface marks on the left edge.
Receiver is P stamped.
