Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1906, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
Tiger striping throughout most of the stock.
On the right side of the stock there is a light gouge and heavy pressure mark below the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there are mild to heavy pressure marks throughout the butt. Light gouging on the pistol grip and wrist. Long scratches before the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge near the magazine catch, heavy gouging in front of the magazine plate, and heavy pressure marks between the magazine plate and rear barrel band. The comb has a rack number of 102285 stamped.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear over the chamber, and mild edge wear and light surface marks throughout. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish. Magazine plate and trigger guard has heavy finish wear. Trigger guard has heavy edge wear. Magazine base is in the white.
P stamped receiver. ·11 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1911.
