Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1904, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Furniture has remnants of red paint in front of the rear barrel band.
On the right side of the stock there are light to mild gouges on the butt below the comb. Light gouging on the wrist. Light to mild gouge behind the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are mild pressure marks at the rear of the butt. Mild pressure marks and light gouging on the wrist. Heavy pressure mark and light gouging before the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a light gouging on the wrist and a small chip behind the trigger guard. Heavy gouge at the magazine catch. Heavy pressure mark at the rear of the comb. Handguard has a mild gouge on the right side in front of the rear barrel band, extending onto the stock. Scattered light gouging throughout the handguard.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light patina. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light patina. Magazine base has mildly worn finish.
Receiver is P stamped.
Includes leather sling.
