Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1903, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are chipped.
Furniture had been previously sanded and refinished.
On the right side of the stock there is a light gouge in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy gouge behind the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are remains of a mild gouge by the magazine catch.
All bluing was previously refurbished. Receiver has surface marks throughout. Light pitting on both barrel bands. Light to mild pitting on the magazine plate and trigger guard.
Receiver is P38 stamped, indicating privatization in 1938.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
