Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1901, in very good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling, very light pitting throughout the bore). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the left side of the stock, there is a light gouge near the rear of the butt. Light gouge below the handguard ferrule. Spots of tan colored paint found along the forearm, from the rear barrel band to the forward end.
Receiver finish is mildly worn. Mild patina and light pitting throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have mild to heavy finish wear and mild patina. Magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine has mild to heavy patina.
Receiver is P38 stamped, indicating privatization in 1938.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
