Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1900, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
On the right side of the stock, there are mild gouges at the rear of the butt, near the bottom. Thin gouge at the forward end of the butt. Light gouge below the bolt release lever. Mild pressure mark behind the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there are mild pressure marks and a mild gouge at the rear of the butt. Heavy pressure mark inside the finger groove. On the underside of the stock, there are light gouges around the trigger guard and around the rear barrel band. Handguard has a light gouge on the right side near the ferrule and light gouging in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver finish is mildly worn. Light to mild patina throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have mild finish wear and light to mild patina. Light finish wear on the magazine plate and trigger guard. Light pitting on the base of the magazine.
Receiver is P56 stamped, indicating privatization in 1956.
