Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1899, in good condition with 75% finish. 4/5 Bore (small area of pitting at the start of the rifling). 4/5 Stock.
Bolt knob has been sanded. Previous replacement with non-matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock there is a light gouge between the barrel bands. On the left side of the stock there are large, heavy gouges on the wrist and pistol grip. Light gouging in front of the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a light gouge on the butt in front of the rear sling mount and a mild gouge next to the magazine catch.
Receiver has heavy finish wear and mild patina. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish. Front barrel band has heavy patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard has heavily worn finish and mild patina.
Receiver is P36 stamped, indicating privatization in 1936.
