Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1899, in good condition with limited bluing remaining. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there are light gouges on the butt near the toe. Mild gouge behind the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a mild gouge near the rear of the butt. Heavy pressure marks on the pistol grip and wrist. Light gouging above the finger groove. Heavy gouging around the rear barrel band. Heavy gouging along the comb. Handguard has light gouging and heavy pressure marks on the right side at the rear, and light gouging at the rear on the top side.
Receiver is approaching white. Both barrel bands are in the white. Rear barrel band has heavy pitting on the top side. Magazine plate has lightly worn finish. Trigger guard has mild to heavy finish wear. Magazine base is in the white.
Receiver is P36 stamped, indicating privatization in 1936.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
