Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1899, in very good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers except for the bolt knobs.
Lower bolt knob is cracked.
Handguard has light tiger striping.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt near the toe. Light gouge on the pistol grip. Mild pressure mark before the rear barrel band. Light gouge before the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges on the rear of the butt. Light gouging on the pistol grip and wrist. Multiple marks between the wrist and finger groove. Heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is light gouging and heavy pressure marks along the butt. Light gouging in front of the magazine plate. Handguard has mild pressure marks in front of the ferrule. Mild to heavy gouging about halfway between the barrel bands.
Receiver has light edge wear, light to mild scratches at the rear, and light to mild finish wear over the chamber. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish and mild patina. Magazine plate has light to mild finish wear. Trigger guard has mildly worn finish and mild to heavy edge wear. Magazine has heavy edge wear and heavily worn finish.
P stamped. ·9 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1909.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
