Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1899, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock, there are light gouges toward the rear of the butt. Light gouging between the forward end of the grip and the finger groove. Light gouging on the forearm, about halfway between the barrel bands. On the left side of the stock, there is a light gouge on the grip. Group of mild gouges between the finger groove and rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are heavy pressure marks on the butt at the toe. Light gouge to the left of the trigger guard. Heavy gouge near the magazine catch. Light gouge on the forearm in front of the barrel band spring. Light gouges throughout the comb. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark before the rear barrel band.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear. Both barrel bands have mild to heavy finish wear. Mild to heavy finish wear and multiple surface marks on the trigger guard. Magazine finish is heavily worn.
Receiver is P stamped. ·5 stamped below the serial number, indicating armory refurbishment in 1905.
