Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1899, in good condition with 70% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is cracked.
On the right side of the stock there is a light gouge near the bottom of the butt. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges and mild pressure marks at the center of the butt. Light gouging on the pistol grip. Pair of small holes on the wrist. Heavy pressure marks before the finger groove. Light gouging and a mild pressure mark in front of the finger groove. On the underside there are light gouges on the butt. Light gouge in front of the magazine plate. Handguard has heavy pressure marks near the ferrule. Light gouging and a large pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has mild to heavy finish wear. Light surface marks throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands are approaching white. Magazine plate has heavily worn finish. Trigger guard is in the white and has light pitting. Magazine has mildly worn finish.
Receiver is P58 stamped, indicating privatization in 1958.
