Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1899, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Rear barrel band non-matching serial number. Front barrel band non-serialized.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
Tiger stripe pattern throughout the stock.
On the right side of the stock, there are multiple heavy pressure marks throughout the butt. Light gouging on the grip. Heavy pressure marks near the bolt release lever. Mild gouging around the edges of the finger groove. Mild going before the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there is light gouging to the right of the finger groove. Light gouging on the forearm between the finger groove and the rear barrel band. Heavy gouge in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are mild pressure marks and light gouging on the butt. Heavy pressure mark in front of the magazine catch. Light gouge in front of the magazine plate. Mild gouges along the comb of the stock. Heavy pressure marks on the handguard between the barrel bands.
Receiver finish is mildly worn. Light surface marks throughout the receiver. Light finish wear and light edge wear on both barrel bands. Heavy finish wear on the magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine.
Receiver is P 63 stamped, indicating privatization in 1963.
