Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1898, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there is a light gouge on the butt near the comb. Light gouging around the finger groove. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a mild to heavy gouge around the center of the butt. Heavy pressure marks on the wrist. On the underside of the stock there is a mild pressure mark on the toe. Heavy gouge by the magazine catch and a mild gouge in front of the magazine plate. Light gouge on the top of the wrist.
All bluing was previously refurbished.
Receiver has light edge wear and light surface scratches. Both barrel bands, magazine plate, and trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light patina.
Receiver is P53 stamped, indicating privatization in 1953.
Includes leather sling.
