Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1902, in Good condition with 85% finish. 3/5 Bore (dull bore, lightly worn rifling, light pitting). 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is cracked. Lower bolt knob is chipped.
On the right side of the stock, "Mob 1914" is carved into the butt. Mild gouging on the pistol grip. Light gouge below the bolt release lever. Light gouge in front of the finger groove. Light gouge before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock "CB" is carved into the butt. mild to heavy pressure marks and light gouging throughout the butt. Light gouging on the pistol grip and wrist. Mild and heavy pressure marks between the wrist and finger groove. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge in front of the sling mount. Heavy pressure marks on the wrist. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. Light gouging before the front barrel band. On the top of the stock there is light to mild gouging along the comb. Heavy gouging on the top of the wrist. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark near the ferrule. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has lightly worn finish, light pitting, and light patina. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard have heavily worn finish and light surface marks. Magazine base has heavily worn finish and is approaching white.
