Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1901, in Good condition with 75% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished.
Stock has a 2.25" armory repaired crack on the left side at the woodline, forward of the wrist, and a splice on the underside at the forward end.
On the right side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark on the pistol grip. On the left side of the stock there are light to mild gouges on the butt. Heavy gouge at the forward end of the butt. Heavy gouge on the pistol grip and light gouging along the wrist. Heavy pressure mark before the finger groove. Heavy pressure marks and light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges on the butt at the toe. Light gouge in front of the magazine plate. On the top of the stock there are light gouges along the comb and a mild gouge at the receiver tang. Handguard has a light gouge in front of the rear barrel band and a mild gouge before the front barrel band.
Receiver has heavily worn finish and light surface marks. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate is approaching white. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish and light surface marks. Magazine base is in the white.
