Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1910, in good condition with 90% finish. 3/5 Bore (lightly dull bore, light to mild pitting throughout). 1/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Bolt knobs non-matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
Tiger stripe pattern around the butt of the stock. Furniture exhibits heavy handling wear. On the right side of the stock there is a gouge on the grip. The pistol grip insert is coming loose. There are multiple gouges on and below the woodline from the right edge of the receiver to the handguard ferrule. There is an armory repair next to the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy gouge on the grip. There are several pressure marks and gouging in and around the finger groove. Heavy pressure mark before the rear barrel band. There is an armory repair on the forearm in between the two barrel bands. On the handguard there is gouging around the rear barrel band and gouging on the top side near the front barrel band.
Receiver has mostly dark finish with some light finish wear around the upper lightening cuts and on the left and right side of the receiver. Light edge wear around the loading slot, the upper lightening cuts, and on the front and rear edges. Light to mild edge wear around the left side lightening cut. Light finish wear on both barrel bands. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Light finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
