Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1895, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is cracked.
On the right side of the stock there are mild pressure marks and light gouges throughout the butt. Mild pressure marks and light gouges between the bolt release lever and finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks and light gouges throughout the butt. Heavy rash at the rear end of the wrist. Mild gouge before the finger groove. Heavy pressure marks around the finger groove. Heavy pressure marks and light gouging around the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are heavy pressure marks and heavy gouging on the wrist. Heavy pressure marks and light gouges between the magazine plate and rear barrel band. Heavy pressure marks before the front barrel band. Light gouging along the comb. Heavy gouge on the top of the wrist to the right of the receiver tang. Handguard has mild pressure marks around the rear barrel band.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light patina. Mildly worn finish over the chamber. Rear barrel band has mild to heavy finish wear. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish and light patina. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish. Magazine base has heavily worn finish.
Magazine has heavily worn finish on the underside.
