Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 1/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Bolt knob appears to have been sanded. Both knobs are cracked.
Stock has an unrepaired 2" crack on both sides of the wrist.
Light tiger striping throughout the stock.
On the right side of the stock, there are light gouges throughout the butt. Area of light to mild pressure marks between the bolt release lever and the finger groove. Heavy pressure mark along the bottom edge of the finger groove. Mild pressure marks and a light gouge in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there are mild to heavy pressure marks throughout. Light to mild gouging between the wrist and the finger groove. Light gouging around the edge of the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a gouge near the center of the butt. Mild gouge in front of the magazine plate. Handguard has heavy pressure marks near the ferrule.
StG (St. Gallen) stamped on the left side of the stock above the rear of the finger groove.
Receiver finish is lightly worn and has light edge wear throughout. Both barrel bands have light edge wear. Light edge wear on the trigger guard.
Receiver is P stamped.
