Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 85% finish. 3/5 Bore (light to mildly worn rifling, light to mild pitting). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is chipped.
On the right side of the stock there are mild pressure marks throughout the butt and light gouging at the forward end of the butt. Long scratch below the bolt release lever. On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark near the rear of the butt. Heavy gouging toward the forward end of the butt. Heavy pressure mark and light gouging on the wrist. Heavy pressure mark before the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges at the wrist. Light gouging in front of the magazine plate. Heavy pressure mark before the front barrel band. Light gouging along the comb. Heavy gouge at the receiver tang. Handguard has mild pressure marks at the rear.
Receiver has mild edge wear and light patina. Light surface marks throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light patina.
No P stamp noted.
