Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 90% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there is a light gouge at the rear of the butt. Large scrape at the forward end of the butt, rear of the grip. On the left side of the stock, there are light gouges on the butt at the rear and near the toe. Heavy pressure mark between the finger groove and rear barrel band. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark behind the rear barrel band.
Receiver finish is lightly worn. Mild to heavy patina throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have light to mild finish wear. Light finish wear and light patina at the rear of the magazine plate and on the trigger guard.
Receiver is P26 stamped, indicating privatization in 1926.
