Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is chipped.
"StG" for St Gallen stamped on the left side of the stock above the finger groove and on the barrel shank.
On the right side of the stock there are mild pressure marks above the magazine disconnect lever. Mild to heavy gouging in front of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are mild pressure marks and light scratches throughout the butt. Light gouging above the magazine. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge before the rear barrel band.
Receiver has light edge wear and light pitting throughout. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish, light patina, and light pitting. Trigger guard has light pitting. Magazine has lightly worn finish.
P54 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1954.
A sheet metal stopper had been installed to prevent the magazine from being disengaged with the magazine lever.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
